/Sense of Safety

In October 2024 Dutch newspaper Trouw published the story of Michiel Driebergen featuring my photography about the art exhibition ‘Sense of Safety’ at the Yermilov Art Center Kharkiv, Ukraine.
‘Sense of Safety’ explores the concept of safety through the works of about thirty artists. Where do you seek refuge when there is war? What object brings you comfort? Because the cultural center is housed in a basement, it serves as a safe space for visitors. Kharkiv is regularly bombarded. Even art must go underground.
